Michael
was born in Beaumont, Texas in 1959. In early 1963, his family transferred to
Bellaire, Texas, a small city encompassed by Houston. He spent his grammar school
years in Bellaire attending Maud W. Gordon Elementary School. In 1972 his family
moved to Fort Bend County, Texas where he attended John Foster Dulles Junior High
and High School in Sugarland. After high school he moved to Lubbock, Texas where
he attended Texas Tech University and studied Horticulture and Entomology. After
attending Texas Tech University he moved back to the greater Houston area and
went to work with a large oil field service company. In 1983 he met and married
his lovely wife Janie, who has always been a loving and wonderful inspiration
to him. In the early 1980s Houston's economy was in turmoil. The unemployment
rate was setting records so they decided as a family that Michael should go back
to school. In the spring of 1985, he enrolled at Rice Aviation in Houston. After
attending Rice Aviation they moved to Kingwood, Texas where Michael went to work
at Houston Intercontinental Airport now known as George W. Bush. Michael worked
ten years for a major commercial airline in Houston. It was during this time,
in 1993, that their wonderful son Michael was born. In 1997 Michael moved his
family to Lubbock, Texas were he works as an RF engineer for a small group of
radio stations that is part of a national chain. Michael has written many stories
and submitted several, but could not generate the interest to acquire a publisher.
In the summer of 2001, Janie and Michael made the decision to home school their
son Michael. While home schooling their son, Michael read a countless variety
of children's books to his son. At this time, Michael realized with a little effort
writing children's books was achievable. Michael has been very blessed in his
life, having the skills to work in many different fields and being very talented
in many ways. Since 1997 his interest in writing has grown until it now takes
up a major portion of his life. The satisfaction he receives from writing is far
superior to anything else he has done in his life.
