Francisco Moreno was born on November 23, 1986 in Mexico City. On his sixth birthday, his family moved to Arlington, Texas where he enrolled at Butler Elementary. Francisco always struggled with academic classes, but found that he excelled in the visual arts. He put them aside so that he could commit to playing the cello at Shackelford Junior High and Lamar High School, until his senior year, when he returned to art. Francisco graduated in May of 2005 and decided to study Architecture at Texas Tech University where, during his first year, he teamed up with Michael Davis to illustrate Bumperly Bumper Bee. That same year, he also received the MPI Architect Endowed Scholarship, an award given to one student who shows outstanding design ability. The following summer, Francisco's uncle, Jorge Moreno, an industrial designer and Dean of the Industrial Design School at Monterrey Tec, Campus Querétaro, invited Francisco to take an Industrial Design III studio in Querétaro, Mexico. Francisco learned much about both design and himself during the visit. Upon his return to Texas, he decided to withdraw from Texas Tech, pursue Communication Design and become a Freelance Illustrator.
